Spam Filtering

Written on August 12, 2007 – 7:00 pm | by admin

Every user has their email automatically pre-scanned by the MailFoundry application. Each morning you will receive a ‘daily digest’ from the MailFoundry spam filter (if any have been caught, that is).Within this ‘daily digest’ you will see a list of all the emails that have been deemed spam and removed from your email delivery. If any of the emails listed are genuine email which should not have been filtered, please click the Release & Report link next to that email. This will deliver that email to your inbox right away:Sample email from MailFoundryIt is important that any genuine email found in your daily digest is released and reported as above. This is how the filter ‘learns’ the difference between valid email and spam, and allows for future emails of that type to not be caught by the spam filter (Please note: the “Release & Report” option does not report the email as spam, it reports it as legitimate email and therefore it will not be quarantined again). If you continue to have emails filtered which you have released and reported, please contact support and include a full copy of the email in question (especially the email headers) so we can raise the issue with MailFoundry and have the spam filtering rules updated.
